Attestation of Bangladesh Documents

Bangladesh documents: For attestation, any document originating in Bangladesh (like marriage certificate, birth certificate, police clearance, etc.) must contain the attestation of the Consular Section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka.

1. Attestation of Bangladesh Passport

01. Photocopy of  valid Bangladesh Passport must be notarized by a Notary Public.

02. A duly filled in prescribed application form for attestation.

03. A set of photocopies of notarized Bangladesh Passport should be submitted along with the original document.

04. The following applicable fees through Money order/Bank Draft or Bank Certified Cheque:

Urgent fee USD 82.50: Same working day.

Regular fee USD 44.00: Next working day.

2. Requirements for Attestation of Bangladesh documents (like Marriage Certificate, Birth Certificate, Educational Certificate, Police Clearance Certificate, etc.

01. Bangladesh Documents (Marriage Certificate, Birth Certificate, Educational Certificate, Police Clearance Certificate, etc.)  must contain the attestation of the Consular Section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka. 

02. A duly filled in prescribed application form for attestation.

03. Photocopy (ies) of valid Bangladesh Passport or, Dual Nationality Certificate or, National Identity Card of Bangladesh of the Applicant(s)/Principal(s)/Executant (s)/Attorney(ies).

04. A set of photocopies along with the original document.

05. The following applicable fees through Money order/Bank Draft or Bank Certified Cheque:

Urgent fee USD 82.50: Same working day

Regular fee USD 44.00: Next working day

3. Requirements for Attestation of Share Transfer documents :

01. Share Transfer documents must be notarized by a Notary Public

02. A duly filled in prescribed application form for attestation.

03. Transferor(s) is (are) required to appear before the Consular Officer for thumb impression and signature in his/her photographs. 

04. Photocopy (ies) of Bangladesh Passport or, Dual Nationality Certificate or, National Identity Card of Bangladesh of the Transferor(s) and Transferee(s)

05. Photocopy of Proof of Ownership of Share.

06. Recent Passport size colour photographs on a white background 02 (two) copies of each (Transferor and Transferee).

07. Photocopy of any US Photo ID.

08. Photocopy of court order in case of name change.

09. A set of photocopies along with the original document/original power of attorney.

10. The following applicable fees through Money order/Bank Draft or Bank Certified Cheque:

Urgent fee USD 82.50: Same working day.

Regular fee USD 44.00: Next working day.

4. Requirements for Attestation of Other Documents   (Affidavit/Bank Form/Mutation related papers, etc.)

01. Original documents must be notarized by a Notary Public

02. A duly filled in prescribed application form for attestation.

03. Applicant(s) is (are) required to appear before the Consular Officer for thumb impression and signature in his/her photographs. 

04. Photocopy (ies) of valid Bangladesh Passport or, Dual Nationality Certificate or, National Identity Card of Bangladesh of the Applicant(s)/Principal(s)/Executant (s)/Attorney(ies). 

05. Recent Passport size colour photographs on a white background 02 (two) copies.

06. Photocopy of any US Photo ID.

07. Photocopy of court order in case of name change.

08. A set of photocopies along with the original document/original power of attorney.

09. The following applicable fees through Money order/Bank Draft or Bank Certified Cheque:

Urgent fee USD 82.50: Same working day.

Regular fee USD 44.00: Next working day.

5. Requirements for Attestation of Other Documents (Affidavit/Bank Form/Mutation related papers, etc.) :

In case of US Citizen or, if executants(s)/Principal(s)/Signatory(ies) does (do) not have Bangladesh passport/Dual Nationality Certificate/National Identity Card of Bangladesh, the original document is required authentication step by step from the following offices and followed by the attestation from the Consulate General of Bangladesh in New York.

01. Step 1st Original documents must be notarized by a Notary Public

Step 2nd Authentication of Commission of the Notary Public by the City Clerk or County Clerk.

07. Photocopy of court order in case of name change.

6. Requirements for Attestation of Divorce Notice:

01. Divorce Notice must be notarized by a Notary Public.

02. A duly filled in prescribed application form for attestation.

03. Applicant(s) is (are) required to appear before the Consular Officer for thumb impression and signature in his/her photographs. 

04. Photocopy (ies) of valid Bangladesh Passport or, Dual Nationality Certificate or, National Identity Card of Bangladesh of the Divorce Payer.

05. Photocopy of Original Nikkah Nama.

06. Recent Passport size colour photographs on a white background02 (two) copies of the applicant.

07. Photocopy of any US Photo ID.

08. A set of photocopies along with the original Divorce Notice.

09. The following applicable fees through Money order/Bank Draft or Bank Certified Cheque:

Urgent fee USD 82.50: Same working day.

Regular fee USD 44.00: Next working day.

7. Certification:

01. Applicant(s) is (are) required to appear before the Consular Officer.

02. A duly filled in prescribed application form for attestation.

03. A self-explanatory application of the applicant by mentioning the reason.

04. Photocopy (ies) of valid Bangladesh Passport or, Dual Nationality Certificate or, National Identity Card of     Bangladesh of the Applicant(s). 

05 Recent Passport size colour photographs on a white background 01 (one) copy of the applicant. 

06. Photocopy of any US Photo ID.

07. The following applicable fees through Money order/Bank Draft or Bank Certified Cheque:

Urgent fee USD 82.50: Same working day.
