Applicants may choose to send their applications by mail for visa or Endorsement of 'No Visa Required for Travel to Bangladesh'(NVR). In that case, a self-addressed, postage paid envelop from USPS, UPS, DHL, FedEx etc., must be sent with the application, for return service.

Documents sent without a pre-paid self-addressed envelop are not processed.

Visa Services Offered by Mail

The following visa services are offered by mail:

  • Issuance of Visa
  • Endorsement of " No Visa Required for Travel to Bangladesh"

However, upon receipt of an application, the Consulate may ask for an interview of the applicant.

Processing Time ( Mail-in Service for Visa or NVR Endorsement)

Applications for Visa or NVR Endorsement, received by mail, are processed within one working day. The processing time starts from the day the application is received by the Consulate and does not include the time taken by mail. Hoewver, it may take longer time in case of the following:

  • If reference needs to be made to competent authorities in Bangladesh.
  • If the application is received with incomplete information.
  • If fees sent are inadequate or paid in a manner not accepted by the Consluate General.
  • Or for any other deficiencies in the application.

Please make sure that you have provided your contact number in your application. The Consulate General may need to contact you for further clarification/information in respect of the your application. If the applicant cannot be reached in three consecutive days, the application may not be processed.

THE CONSULATE GENERAL IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DOCUMENTS LOST OR DELAYED IN MAIL.
